Nightime aquatic sighting with froglife

Friday 1st saw froglife staff revist Evanton woods to demonstrate collection and identification techniques for the beasties in the pond. An intrepid number for folk both local and from further afield watched the sun go down then beasties come out in our new ponds. We used high powered torches, old plastic bottles, white trays and nets to see what was living under the water. A great (and informative) time was had by all with the youngerst participants not wanting to leave even though the temperature was dropping. It was back to the cabin for a warm cuppa before all left.
