New Adventure Play Area
Added on 02 March 2016
A new adventure play area, close to the cabin and easily accessible for all, is in the final stages of creation. 4 major installations have been created using natural and recycled materials: a Nessie tyre monster (awaiting carved herad); a series of wooden balance beams; a stone spiral (reusing the demolished parapet from the village bridge over R./Glass/Allt Graad); a series of tunnels (using donated plastic pipes, which are to covered with earth). A grant from Forestry Commission Scotland has enabled the latest project, along with ongoing support from Heritage Lottery, Kiltearn Community Council RWE Innogy Windfarm grants - plus lots of help by the local Community Payback team, school pupils, forestry students and other volunteers over recent years.
