The Pond is finished!

after a week of hard work,measuring, planning, moving mud, building banks diverting streams the pond network within the wood has been finished. The guys from 'Watergems' have done a sterling job and all that is needed now is time - time for nature to take its course, re-populate the ponds and for vegetation to grow in the open areas.
even though the work only finished last week, the area looks very 'natural' thanks to the skilled machine operators and careful planning.
in spring 2015 we will be running training sessions for teaching staff and the community on how to use the pond for 'dipping' and exploring all done with nature in mind so we have minimal impact on the pools - no muddy pond dipping for us.
