Volunteer Work Party

Around 20 people attended the first Volunteer Work Party of the community-owned wood. Simon Harry had his first outing as our Education and Outreach Coordinator and introduced us to the finer points of safety, tool use and cutting of small trees. We made good progress in removing a swathe of Western Hemlock opening up a new vista from the ridge and allowing light for the other saplings to flourish. Bacon and/or egg butties were served along with teas and coffees.
